A special dinner is being planned to honor all Switzerland County veterans for their service to this country.

On Sunday, February 17th, there will be a free dinner held at the Ogle Haus Inn. The dinner will be from 1-3 p.m., and all county veterans and a guest will be treated to the turkey and ham dinner. The event will be held in the River Room at the Ogle Haus.

The dinner is a ‘thank you’ to all veterans, and is being coordinated by CashSaver Food Outlet in conjunction with the Vevay American Legion and the Vevay V.F.W.

The Switzerland County Honor Guard will be in attendance, and Darrell Hansel, a Switzerland County veteran and a National Committeeman with the American Legion, will be the guest speaker.

Those who are wanting to attend the dinner need to RSVP so that the proper number of seats are reserved. To reserve a spot, veterans should call Rita Sullivan, Monday through Saturday, between 1-3 p.m. at the Vevay American Legion post, 427-9144.

Along with CashSaver, the event is being sponsored by Belterra Casino Resort and Spa, Ogle Haus Inn, Friendship State Bank, and Vevay Newspapers, Inc.
