The Switzerland County Pacer varsity baseball team posted a come from behind victory over Madison on Monday night, rallying from six runs down to earn the win.

“It was a great comeback win,” head coach Shannon Barger said after the game. “We took advantage of some walks and errors, and combined that with timely hitting to rally back from an 8-2 deficit.”

Offensively, Brandon Otter, Zach Osowski, and Ryan Peters each collected two hits; and Coach Barger said that big hits by Justin Barnes and Brandon Otter in the sixth inning provided some breathing room.

Brandon Otter and Danny Schira each finished with three RBI; and Justin Barnes knocked in two runs. Brandon Otter also had three runs scored; while Zach Osowski and Justin Barnes each scored twice.

On the mound, Ryan Peters pitched three scoreless innings of relief to pick up the victory.

“This is the first time in a long time that we’ve beaten both South Dearborn and Madison in the same season,” Coach Barger said. “It was a great job by the guys to keep battling and never give up.”
