Dorothy B. (Hammond) McClurg, 77, of Vevay, passed away Tuesday, February 6th, at Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay.

Emma Lou Brindley
Emma Lou Brindley, 88, of Carrollton, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, February 3rd, at Green Valley Health & Rehab Center in Carrollton.
She was born April 30th, 1918, in Carroll County, the daughter of Roy G. and Elvessa (McKendria) Adams. She was a retired nurses aid at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Lou Stewart of Carrollton; her half sisters, Virginia Ann “Ginny” Adams of Cincinnati, Ohio and Martha Lucille Stephenson of Elizabethtown, Indiana; her half brothers, Richard Roy Adams of Florence and Frank D. Adams of Georgetown, Ohio; her adopted sister, Emma Jean Pate of Carrollton; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmom, Mabel Adams; her husband, Edward L. Brindley; her son, William L. Courtney; her brother, Charles Noble Adams; and her half brothers, Robert E. and Arthur Adams.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, February 6th, by Reverend Chris White at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to the Carroll County Relay for Life.
