Barbara Hearn
Barbara Lee Jones Hearn, 74, of Madison, passed away Saturday, October 7th, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.
She was born February 13th, 1932, in Gallatin County, Kentucky, the daughter of William R. Jones and Gladys I. Cook Jones Peavler, who both preceded her in death. She was raised in Gallatin and Carroll counties in Kentucky, moving to Jefferson County in the late 1950s.
She was united in marriage on October 24th, 1959, in North Vernon, to John William Hearn.
She was employed for several years by U.S. Shoe Corporation in Madison. She later began a career in 1968 with Grote Industries as a machine operator, retiring in 2002. She was a member of the UAW Union with Grote and was raised in the Baptist faith. She enjoyed crocheting, bird watching, her dogs, reading, working in her yard, cooking and listening to music.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth Campbell and wife Wanda of Hanover; her daughters, Katheryn “Katie” Williams and companion, Billy Harshbarger of Pass Christian, Mississippi; Carla “Susie” Beluk and husband Steve of Ballwin, Missouri, Patty Jo Hearn Howard and husband Wesley of Madison; her stepdaughter, Leeodda “Lee” Knoebel and husband Joe of Madison; her sister, Jean Beaman of Warsaw, Kentucky; her brother, Ted Jones of Madison; her half sister, Benita Sabie of Clarksville; her half brothers, Benny Sabie of Pendleton and Dale Sabie of Jeffersonville; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was also preceded in death by her stepfathers, Benjamin Sabie and Nelson Peavler; and her brothers, Ronald W. “Joe” Jones and William Joseph Jones.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, October 11th, by Pastor Jeff Jones at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison. Interment was in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Madison. Diane Fagg
Diane Fagg, 64, of North Vernon, formerly of Madison, passed away Saturday, October 7th, at Columbus Health & Rehab Center in Columbus.
She was born May 5th, 1942, in Madison, the daughter of Kenneth and Alberta Hunt Fagg, who both preceded her in death. She attended Brooksburg School and Central High School. she was a homemaker all of her life and was a member of the old Brooksburg Wesleyan Holiness Church. She enjoyed her family and family dinners.
She is survived by her aunts and uncle, Helen and William “Bill” Hunt and Sybileen Robinson, all of Madison; several cousins and other relatives.
Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, October 10th, by Reverend Frank McGee with burial in Brooksburg Cemetery. Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre of Madison was in charge of arrangements.
