Donald Eugene Henderson, 57, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, February 21st, 2024 at Norton Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison.

  Donald was born in Lawrenceburg, Indiana on February 26th, 1966, the son of the late Helen Louise (James) and Willie B. Henderson. He was affectionately nicknamed “Farmer” by his family. Donald completed his high school degree through Madison Consolidated Schools and went on to obtain further life skills through Sandstone Industries.

  Donald enjoyed tinkering, putting together model cars, playing guitar, listening to music, and being around family. He also greatly enjoyed participating in various church services in his local community or offered in the nursing homes.

  Donald is survived by his brothers: Denver Henderson (Christina) of Independence, Kentucky, Carl Henderson of Patriot, Darrell “Buckwheat” Henderson of Richmond, Indiana, Robert Henderson of Patriot, and Ronald Henderson of Patriot; by his sisters: Sue Cunningham (Clinton) of Florence, Indiana, Roseann Owens (Robert) of Patriot, and Wilma Ollman (John) of Florence, Indiana; as well as several nieces and nephews.

  In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his sister Anna Henderson on September 11th, 2019.

  Visitation and funeral services were held on Monday, February 26th, at the Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun. Burial followed at Cedar Hedge Cemetery.

Wanda Lea Chase, 92, passed away February 23rd, 2024 at Ridgewood Health Campus Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

  Wanda was born in Switzerland County on April 16th, 1931, the eighth child and daughter of the late Abbie (Lothridge) and Matthew White. Wanda was affectionately nicknamed “Baby Sis” by her older brothers. Wanda grew up and attended school in Switzerland County.

  On April 16th, 1948, she was married to Harold Chase. The couple enjoyed over 63 years together until his passing on December 27th, 2011. Wanda was a wonderful homemaker and was known for her special ability to bring joy to her family and to all she encountered. Wanda enjoyed gardening, playing card games and bingo, and had a fondness for animals.

  Wanda is survived by her son Mark Chase (Connie) of Yorkville, Indiana; by her daughters Connie Carr of Harrison, Ohio and Patty Andres (Mark) of Harrison, Ohio; by her brother-in-law Jack Facemire of Gallipolis, Ohio; by her eight grandchildren; by her 14 great-grandchildren; by her one great great-grandchild; as well as by several nieces and nephews.

  In addition to her parents and husband, Wanda was preceded in death by her sons Randy Chase and Mike Chase; by her brothers: William White, Amie K. White, Tommy White, Jess White, Gerald “Bush” White, James “Jimmy Doc” White, Dick White, and Robert “Bobby” White; by her sisters Helen “Shy” Adams and Mary K. “Cappy” Facemire; and by her grandson Steven Carr.

  Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday February 29th at the Markland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday February 29th at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Vevay Cemetery.
