Sarah Tinsley
Sarah Belle Tinsley, 78, of Rising Sun, passed away on Wednesday, July 12th, 2023 at Burlington House Nursing Home, Cincinnati, Ohio.
Sarah was born on June 14th, 1945, the daughter of the late Lottie (Majors) and Walter Tinsley.
Sarah attended Bethany Baptist Church for many years. Her family was her greatest source of joy and visiting with them were her fondest memories. Listening to country music was also known to bring her joy, along with working word search puzzles and catching up on her latest shows.
Sarah is survived by her beloved family: her daughter Melissa Christman of Cincinnati, Ohio; her sister Joyce Hill of Moores Hill, Indiana; her grandchildren: Lindsay Christman, Hayley Christman, and Alexis Christman; her great-grandchildren Presley and Emerson; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lottie (Majors) and Walter Tinsley; Sarah was preceded in death by her brothers: Olen “Bill” Tinsley, Walter Carlile Tinsley, and Floyd Pryor; and by her sisters: Dorotha Huffine and Lola Miller.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 17th at the Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 18th at the funeral home; with burial following at Cedar Hedge Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family for the benefit of Sarah’s grandchildren in her honor, checks made payable to Melissa Christman.
Leslie ‘Todd’ Johns
Leslie “Todd” Johns, age 58, of Vevay, passed away at 7:36 a.m. at the Ashland Cove Campground in Lamb, Indiana on Saturday, July 15th, 2023.
Todd was born on October 23rd, 1964 at St. Mary Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of Arlen Edward “Artie” and Wanda Lou (Carlton) Johns. He was the fifth child born to their family and welcomed home by two older brothers and two older sisters. In 1968, a little sister was added to the family.
In 1965, the family moved to Coopersville, Michigan where he grew up and formed a lifelong friendship with his best friend Dana Sutterfield. Todd was a 1982 graduate of Grand Haven High School in Michigan.
In 1985, he married, and to that union two sons were born: Joshua Todd and Jeramey Edward.
In 1996, he moved to Indiana to be near his parents.
In 2016, he married the love of his life, Debra Thomas Daugherty. Through this union he added another daughter Laci; and another son Zachary to his family.
Todd was employed by Van’s Poultry hauling livestock for 15 years and then was an independent truck driver for two years. When he returned to Indiana, he was employed by Belterra Casino in maintenance and American Racing in Warsaw, Kentucky. He became part of the Dorman family in 2015 where he worked for eight years until his death.
Those who knew Todd were drawn to his generosity and love of life, family, and friends. His smile and laughter lit up a room. He was always available to help a family member, neighbor, or friend. From a young age, Todd always knew how to entertain and make people laugh. He lived life to the fullest while on this earth.
Todd will be lovingly missed by his wife Debra D. Johns of Vevay; by his sons: Joshua Johns of Vevay, Jeramey Johns of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Zachary Daugherty of Vevay; by his “baby girl”, Laci Daugherty of Vevay; by his grandson Aiden Johns; by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Donna and Larry Gene Thomas, Sr. of Rising Sun; by his brothers and sisters: Roy Edward Johns and his wife Mary Jo of Phoenix, Arizona, Kathy Sue Johns of Hudsonville, Michigan, Nina DuShane of Newaygo, Michigan, Russ Johns and his wife Wanda of Allendale, Michigan, Julie Leap and her husband Roy of Vevay, Jean Nolf of Hudsonville, Michign; by his sister-in-law, Kathy Ann Johns of Vevay; by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Larry Thomas, Jr. and his wife Shona of Florence, Indiana, Aaron Thomas and his wife Tiffany of Florence, Indiana, and Dora Henry and her husband, Scott of Aberdeen, Indiana; and by his several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Arlen Edward “Artie” Johns and Wanda Lou (Carlton) Johns; by his brother-in-law Al DuShane; by his nephew Chad DuShane; and by his several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 20th, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 21st, by Reverend Mike Jones, at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery.

Ronnie Harris
Ronnie Harris, 66, of Manchester, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, July 12th, at his residence.
Ronnie was born in Clay County, Kentucky, on December 15th, 1956, the son of the late John and Sylvania Sams Harris.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Judy Burkhart Harris.
He is also survived by his sons and daughters: Ronnie L. Harris and his wife Jeanne of Vevay, Billy J. Harris of Manchester, Kentucky, Betty Lou Roark and her husband Rod of Manchester, Kentucky, Autumn C. Harris of Corbin, Kentucky and Shannon D. Harris; by his grandchildren: Devin L. Harris, Makayla Y. Harris, Shelby Roark, Harley Roark, Raven Roark, Kimmie Roark, Bailey Roark, Jayden Roark, Aiyanna Roark , Joseph Roark, Maddie Roark, John Lee Roark, Macey Roark, and Trenton A. Harris; and by his brothers and sister: Sherman Harris of Indiana, Ralph Harris of Manchester, Kentucky, Leonard Harris of Indiana, Raymond Harris of Manchester, Kentucky, Lois Harris of Indiana, and Cindy Rickett of Manchester, Kentucky; by a special nephew: Donald Wayne Lunsford; and by a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ronnie is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters: Ishmael Harris, R.J. Harris, Kermit Harris, Colson Harris, Roscoe Harris, Della Reed, and Dorothy Lunsford.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 18th, at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, Kentucky. Funeral services for Ronnie were held on Wednesday, July 19th, at the funeral home with Bobby Stevens officiating. Burial followed in the Hutchinson Cemetery in Manchester, Kentucky.
Leslie Grace
Leslie Ann Grace, 50, of Rising Sun, passed away on Wednesday, July 12th, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Edgewood Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky.
Leslie was born on April 16th, 1973 in Covington, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Gary Holdcraft and Bonnie Holdcraft (Palmer).
Leslie married Navy Veteran Robert Wayne Grace on October 16th, 1993; and she was a faithful employee at Walmart and Lowe’s for many years.
Leslie loved her country music, family gatherings and holidays, and her coffee.
Leslie is survived by her husband, Robert; by her sons: Terry Grace (Chrissy) of Rising Sun, Cody Grace (Courtney) of Independence, Kentucky, and Daniel “DJ” Grace of Indiana; by her daughters: Robin Suarez (Kmilo), of Minnesota, Angel Clark of Patriot, and Amber Bailey of Aurora, Indiana; by her brother, David Holdcraft of Indiana; by her grandchildren: Arianna, Lylian, Kloyi, Zella, Zander, Whitney, Skyla, Kolton, Bobby, Eli, Tyra, Seth, Aaron, Carrigan, Caleb, as well as three grandchildren who are waiting to make their earthside appearance; and by her great-grandchildren: Westin, Arabella, and Messiah.
Leslie was preceded in death by her parents, Gary Holdcraft and Bonnie Holdcraft (Palmer); by her sister Angela Owens; and her children: Robert and Anika Grace.
Visitation for family and friends was held on Monday, July 17th, at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun. Funeral services were held following the time of visitation on Monday, July 17th at the funeral home.

Donna Fogle
Donna Jeanne Fogle, 83, of Rising Sun, passed away on Saturday, July 8th, at St. Elizabeth Dearborn Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
Donna was born in Indiana on November 18th, 1939, the daughter of the late Ruth E. (Snyder) and Virgil W. Ascherman.
On January 24th, 1959, she married Harold Leslie (Les) Fogle, who preceded her in death.
Donna owned Les’s Five and Dime in Rising Sun, and spent many years working along side her family.
Donna enjoyed reading, caring for her dog, and had an exceptional love of gardening and spent most of her time working on her own yard and garden.
She was a graduate of Rising Sun High School, Class of 1958 and a member of Rising Sun Church of Christ.
Donna is survived by her daughter Lisa (Gene) Walton of Rising Sun; by her two sons: Eric (Tia) Fogle of Rising Sun and Todd (Sandra) Fogle of Rising Sun; and by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her great great-grandchild.
Donna requested cremation services through Markland Funeral Home and a private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
