Candace ‘Candy’ Herrell
Candace Marie “Candy” Herrell, age 43, of Inverness, Florida, passed away on Monday, May 17th, 2021 from a massive stroke in Ocala Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Florida. Candy was an organ donor and on May 19th, 2021 she saved three lives.
Candy entered this life April 14th, 1978 in Homestead, Florida. She was the oldest daughter of the late SFC Joseph B. Herrell II USA RET and Bonnie Y. Griffith. Candy was raised in multiple places, but she always called Madison, Indiana home. She was a 1997 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School.
In March of 1998, she was blessed with a daughter, Haley M. Owens with her high school sweetheart David Owens.
Candy was united in marriage in October of 1999 to Michael Eldridge and this union blessed them with two more children: Sabrina Eldridge and Trenton Eldridge.
In the spring of 2017, she moved to Inverness, Florida where she enjoyed working with her clients through her employer Home Instead. Candy was a very outgoing, outspoken, glamorous individual whom everyone loved immediately. She had the personality and demeanor of an angel. Candy enjoyed going to the beach, relaxing on the tube in the many surrounding springs, spending endless hours with her lifelong partner Chris, facetiming her grandson Brantley, and catching up with her family and friends through social media and on the phone.
Candy will be missed by her lifelong partner Christopher Bradner of Crystal River, Florida; by her loving daughters Haley Owens of Madison, and Sabrina Eldridge and her fiancé Nick Hall of Columbus, Indiana; by her son Trenton Eldridge of Columbus, Indiana; by her mother Bonnie Y. Griffith (Jay) of North Vernon, Indiana; by her sisters Kimberly Herrell (Josh) of Vevay and Brandi Santiago (Jessie) of Interlachen, Florida; by her brother Brian Griffith (Melissa) of Alexandria, Virginia; by her grandson Brantley Lyon; by her aunts: Vikki Ivey, Kathryn Cardinale, and Carol Munson; by her uncles: Johnny Ivey, Steve Munson, Mike Griffith, Robert Herrell, and James “Spike” Herrell; by her nieces: Katie Wilson, Pyper Herrell, Lana Leon, Emma and Elizabeth Griffith; by her nephews: Justice and Bryce Stone, Brandon and Jason Leon, and Jacob Griffith; by her great niece Delielah Feign; and many countless other family and friends.
Candy was preceded in death by her father Joseph B. Herrell II in 1996, by her paternal grandfather Joseph B. Herrell in 1998, by her paternal grandmother Delores Herrell in 1994, by her maternal grandfather Frank Griffith in 2009, by her maternal grandmother Juanita Griffith in 2015, by her aunt Mary Ann Herrell in 2012, by her cousin Matt Ivey in 2019, by her aunt Diana Herrell in 2013, by her best friend Margo Melton and her daughter Shey Melton, by her best friend Shawn Feutz, and by her niece Anna Mizzzel in 2012.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 5th, at 6 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre at 325 Demaree Drive, Madison, Indiana 47250. Friends may visit on June 5th, from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Crystal Suzann Jennings, 48, of Vevay, passed away on Saturday, May 29th, 2021 at Great River Medical Center in Slytheville, Arkansas.
Crystal was born on February 27th, 1973 in Martinsville, Indiana, the daughter of Michael and Susan Walker of Martinsville.
She graduated from Martinsville High School in 1991 and continued her education at Vincennes University.
Crystal loved life and tried to live every day to the fullest. One of her favorite things to say was ‘Just Dance’.
She is survived by her parents Mike and Sue Walker; by her sister Michele Davis (Ron); by her sister Nicole Walker; by her brother, Blake Walker (Sarah); by her daughters: Kayla Hall and Courtney Hall; and by her very best friend and companion Billy Best.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, June 5th, at the Paul Ogle Riverfront Park in Vevay from 1-3 p.m.
Crystal donated her body to science.

Judy Lynn O’Day McKay, age 78, of Madison, passed away at 3:07 a.m. on Saturday, May 29th, 2021, at the Greenfield Regional Hospital in Greenfield, Indiana.
Judy entered this life on November 28th, 1942 in Vevay. She was the loving daughter of Orville “Buck” and Wanda Roberta Moore O’Day. Judy graduated from Vevay High School in 1961 and went to work for the Vevay Reveille and Switzerland Democrat Newspapers.
Judy was united in marriage to Virgil Clyde McKay on May 18th, 1963 in Kent, Indiana. This happy union of 52 years was blessed with two daughters, Christy and Misty.
She relocated to Indianapolis for 35 years and went on to become an employee for the State of Indiana. She worked as a Deputy Clerk for the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court for 22 years. She had served as secretary for eight State Representatives in Indiana and she really enjoyed working for the State of Indiana.
Judy had attended the Mt. Zion Nazarene Church for several years. She enjoyed membership in the South Side Corvette Club and the Hallmark Club. Judy loved the ride of the Cadillac and the speed of the Corvette and a great NASCAR race. She liked gardening, working with her flowers, collecting Hallmark ornaments, reading Janet Evanovich books, shopping, especially QVC, watching the Food Network, collecting Roosters, and celebrating her Irish Heritage. If you were in Judy’s aura you couldn’t help to notice her smile, “The Look” she could give you and a bit of sarcasm that was expected.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband, being a mother and grandma. Virgil and Judy moved back to Switzerland County and enjoyed the family farm until their deaths.
Judy will be missed by her loving daughters: Christy Muzquiz and her husband, Hector of Indianapolis, Indiana and Misty Blankman and her husband John of Rushville, Indiana; by her grandsons: Jonathon Blankman and Hector Logan Muzquiz; by her sister, June Edwards of East Enterprise; and by her nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, Orville “Buck” O’Day; by her mother, Wanda Roberta Moore O’Day; by her husband, Virgil Clyde McKay; by her sister-in-law, Anna Grace McKay; by her brother-in-law, Ronald C. Edwards; by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Pauline McKay; and by her grandparents, Walter and Bessie Moore.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 3rd, at 7:00 p.m., by Pastor Lonnie Bontrager at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow on Friday, June 4th in the Vevay Cemetery, 800 East Main Street in Vevay.
Friends may visit on Thursday, June 3rd from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Loclyn Kirby Dick
Loclyn Kirby Dick, son of Skylar and Donnie Dick, Jr. of Rising Sun, passed away on Tuesday, May 25th, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Dearborn, Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Loclyn was lovingly carried by his mother for 37 weeks until his passing.
Loclyn is survived by his parents; by his sister Haevyn Dick and by his brothers: Oakley Dick and Gatlyn Dick, all of Rising Sun; by his grandparents Donnie Dick, Sr. and Jennifer of Mason, Ohio, Melinda and Kirby DeBellevue of Cincinnati, Ohio, Rodney and Tina Crawford of Crittenden, Kentucky, Shawn Horstman of Rising Sun, and Sherri and Kevin McCracken of Rising Sun; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A public visitation was held on Wednesday, June 2nd, at the Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun. Funeral services will be held following the time of visitation on Wednesday, June 2nd, at the funeral home with Pastor Nathan Pelehowski officiating. Burial followed at the Rising Sun New Cemetery.
