New town street signs
The Town of Vevay is installing new street signs. The installation began on the East end of town, with workers moving West throughout the week. Installation is expected to be completed in about two weeks. Town of Vevay Clerk-Treasurer Brandi Scudder-Harsin said that the old street signs had been in place for 38 years; and over time had become barely visible and were no longer in compliance. The town said that the new signs were funded through the ‘Vevay Town Improvement Fund’ which was created in 2020. Those funds, along with assistance of federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, allowed the new signs to be purchased without using any tax dollars or gaming revenues.
