Franklin College’s Natalie Daugherty, a 2006 graduate of Switzerland County High School, has been named as the “Women’s Golf Player of the Week” in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference for the week of September 28th through October 4th.
Natalie Daugherty earned medalist honors in the Franklin Fall Invitational, leading the Grizzlies to the team title at The Legends of Indiana Golf Course with her round of 82. Franklin College defeated Hanover College by a 24-shot margin to claim the five-team event. It was the Grizzlies’ first team title in an invitational since October of 2007.
Following Natalie Daugherty’s 82, other scores for the Franklin team included: Grace Adams with an 83; Samantha Marshall with an 89; and Brittany Brownrigg finished with a 92.
Two weeks ago the Illinois Wesleyan Tournament, Natalie Daugherty finished 11th out of 112 golfers.
Natalie is the daughter of Rob and Kathy Daugherty of Vevay.
