Lady Pacer soccer posts two big wins

  The Switzerland County Lady Pacer varsity soccer team continues to win games in dominating fashion, scoring two big wins during the past week.

Madison

  On Wednesday, August 18th, Switzerland County defeated Madison by a score of 4-0.

  Halle Archer opened the scoring early with a goal on an assist by Raylinn Kappes in the first minute of play; and Kappes then posted her own goal at the 11-minute mark with an assist from Kenzie Taylor. A goal by Kayley Jones at the 38-minute mark made the score 3-0 at the half.

  In the second half: Taylor scored a goal on an assist by Alisha Detmer at the 75-minute mark to round out the scoring.

  Goalie Allena Weaver recorded her first shutout of the season. 

South Ripley

  The following night, Thursday, August 19th, the Lady Pacers blasted conference foe South Ripley by a score of 7-0.

  Taylor opened the scoring with an assist by Kappes at the 17-minute mark; and Kappes then scored at the 32-minute mark on an assist from Avy Burkholder.

  Moving into the second half, it was Kappes again, recording her second goal of the night on an assist by Taylor at the 47-minute mark; and then Archer erupted for two goals — one on an assist by Burkholder at the 57-minute mark and another on an assist by Kappes at the 76-minute mark.

  Jones sandwiched a goal between those two goals, scoring off of an assist by Archer at the 75-minute mark.
