Lady Pacer soccer earns three huge wins for the week
The powerhouse Switzerland County Lady Pacer varsity soccer team continued its rampage through its schedule with two big wins during the past week.
Madison
On Wednesday evening, August 16th, the Lady Pacers traveled to Madison beating the Lady Cubs 5-0.
Once again, multiple players found the back of the net thanks to the great passing coming out of the midfield. The Pacers found themselves up 3-0 at halftime but they weren’t done yet.
The Lady Pacers would continue to dominate scoring two more times in the second half.
Kenzie Taylor scored the first goal of the game; while Emma Parsons scored the second goal, and then also connected on the team’s third goal off of an assist by Emma South.
Halle Archer scored the fourth goal of the game off of a penalty kick; and the game’s final goal was scored by Parsons with an assist by Archer.
The defensive line once again held the Lady Cubs for their second shutout of the season.
South Ripley
On Friday night, August 18th, the Lady Pacers defeated conference rival South Ripley by a score of 6-0.
Archer led the way with three goals and an assist in the match; while Avy Burkholder had a goal; South had a goal and an assist; Parsons added another goal off of an assist by Lainie McAlister.
The defense again pitched a shutout and continued its overall outstanding play.
Carroll County
On Monday night the Lady Pacers welcomed the Carroll County Lady Panthers to Pacer Field, and weren’t very welcoming hosts, sending Carroll County home on a short end of a lopsided 10-1 score
It was the Lady Pacers first home game of the season.
The scoring got off to a quick start in the first half 6-0 and then continued in the second half with the final being 10-1. Switzerland County gave up a late goal in the match to take the shutout away.
Emma Perkins had a big night for Switzerland County, scoring four goals in the contest. Halle Archer continued her outstanding play, adding three goals on the night; while Kenzie Taylor had two goals and Courtney Higgins added one score.
