The Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) be holding its sixth annual Mardi Gras Ball Fundraiser on Saturday, February 29th, at the Lawrenceburg Event Center.
Each year the counties that are supported by the Children’s Advocacy Center nominate a couple from each county to serve as the King and Queen of the Mardis Gras event.
For this year’s fundraiser, Vevay’s J.J. and Gayle Sullivan are Switzerland County’s candidates.
The Sullivans have been busy raising money for the CAC, which determines who the winners are at the Ball. The couple that raises the most money will be crowned King and Queen of the event. One dollar equals one vote for the couple.
J.J. is a graduate of Switzerland County High School. He has been the owner/operator of Sullivan’s Painting and Construction since 1996. He currently serves as a member of the Vevay Town Council and is a charter member of the SAL American Legion Post 185.
Gayle is a graduate of South Dearborn High School. She is serving her second term as Switzerland County Circuit Court Clerk and also serving her second year as the Vice President for the Southeast District for AIC (Association of Indiana Counties). She is also an Auxiliary member of Post 185.
J.J. and Gayle enjoy giving back to the community and helping fellow neighbors and friends with whatever may arise. They have five children; and their oldest son and his wife have blessed them with a grandson.
To vote for J.J. and Gayle, go to the CAC’s website at cacsoutheast.org. Click on the Mardi Gras tab at the top and then click on the “Donate Now” button next to their name.
You may also purchase tickets for the event on the same website. Tickets are $75 each or $700 for a table of 10.
The evening will include a dinner; both a silent and live auction; music by the “Naked Karate Girls” from Cincinnati; and the crowning of the King and Queen. There is something for everyone!
