I would like to comment on the letter to the editor a couple of weeks ago from Bob Demaree for Mary Kathryn Dickerson. It was a nice tribute to Mary Kathryn and we will all miss her in Florence. She was a lovely lady and a good friend.

Roy and Bonnie Duckworth, Randy, Michelle, Kiersten and Kaden McClure spent most of the last two weeks at the Restoration Acres Christian Camp in Hillsboro, Ohio. On Thursday, Patty Chase, Alberta Pickett and Nancy Johnson joined them. Roy gave them a tour of the campground and the area. They met Bob and Mary Florence Koons and Logan Fugate at the camp and several other friends for good visits. They enjoyed the afternoon service and had a wonderful time. On the way home they met Patty’s niece Lisa Jewell at Eastgate. Nephew Jerrell could not be there due to his business the Jewells Diamond Cut Lawn Care. That has to be done when the weather allows, as we all know.

Johnny Dale and Kim Lock have moved from Devers Road to West Lafayette to be near their girls and families. They all work at the college and Johnny and Kim will have jobs there too. They came in Friday to finish their move and met Patty Chase and Glenda Sullivan at Putt and Grub miniature golf and restaurant near Aurora. They have really good food and are good friends of John and Kim. It was a good visit.

Charles an Alberta Pickett, Patty Chase and Glenda Sullivan met Denny and Mary Lou Bowman for breakfast and a good visit Saturday.

David, Olivia, Mia and Mallory Sandidge visited Randy, Lorraine and Ryan Brown and Margaret Lee Wiedmann Sunday. Kay O’Neal also visited.

The Vevay Red Hot Hat Ladies will meet August 19th, September 14th, October 14th and November 18th. The December meeting and location will be announced later. All will be at 11 a.m.

We went to the Dave Gurley visitation at Rising Sun. Many area people were there. Sympathy to his family. He was a fine person. Sympathy also to the families of Elberta Stevens, Brooklyn Lustig and Cydney Jackson; also to Gary Shephard’s family for the loss of his sister. He is the minister at the Center Square Baptist Church.
