I have moved to Switzer Square in Vevay with great help of Denny and Mary Lou Bowman and others. I really like it here at Switzer Square and hope to write more next week. I don’t know if I’ll be writing Florence news since I am a Vevay resident now. I lived in Vevay for the first 20 years of my life then in Florence for the rest of it until now. So Vevay gets me again.
John Kniola visited me one day in Florence and said he had been visiting with Frank and Teresa Bandy at Bryant’s Creek. I will miss seeing and hearing Lynn Gibson mowing yards in Florence.
Those who helped Karen Wentworth celebrate her birthday on Sunday at Ponderosa were: Gary and David Wentworth, Roy and Bonnie Duckworth, Patty Chase, Nancy Johnson, Judy Lozier and Glenda Sullivan. Happy Birthday, Karen.
Roy and Bonnie Duckworth attended a surprise 20th wedding anniversary celebration on Saturday afternoon for their daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Randy McClure. The celebration was held at the Kent Christian Church in Kent, Indiana. Their children, Kiersten and Kaden, hosted the celebration. Family and friends came from the Hanover/Kent/ Madison areas, Rising Sun, Hillsboro, Ohio and New Albany to congratulate Randy and Michelle. We all enjoyed a slide show that Randy had put together from pictures of their wedding to adventures with their children. The celebration was concluded by Randy and Michelle cutting their cake. Congratulations Randy and Michelle and great job Kiersten and Kaden.
