Holly Jackson, Jaclyn Ranz earn honors

The Indiana Basketball Coaches Association has released its Girls Academic All State team members for the 2004-2005 season, and two members of the Switzerland County Lady Pacers have been honored.

Switzerland County High School honored its boys and girls basketball teams and cheerleaders during its annual winter sports athletic banquet held last Thursday night in the high school cafeteria.

Pacers open Sectional play tomorrow night

Coach David Todd’s Switzerland County Pacers will start their trek toward a Sectional championship tomorrow (Friday) night against Southwestern.

After jumping out to an early lead in Tuesday night’s ORVC contest versus Jac-Cen-Del, the Switzerland County Lady Pacer varsity basketball team struggled to find offensive consistency, and after staging a frantic rally to retake the lead in the final minute of the game; the Lady Pacers just couldn’t hang on, as a late three-pointer by Emily Einhaus led to a 52-49 victory for the Lady Eagles.
