A Roaring 20s evening embracing the fun of 100 years ago is taking place at the Community Art Center in Vevay this Saturday, October 17th.
The ‘Fall Gala’ — an annual fundraiser that includes a catered dinner with foods that were all the rage back then; music of the times; and an incredible silent auction of art — will be held at the Community Art Center on Saturday, with gallery doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and dinner being served at 6 p.m.
Advanced tickets required, and are available at the Community Art Center, which is open Monday through Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. Tickets are $30 each or two for $50.
In keeping with the speakeasy atmosphere of the 20s, guests may bring their own spirits to enjoy with dinner. Seating is limited to half the usual capacity to allow for social distancing.
The Fall Gala will take place in the second floor “gathering place”.
The Community Art Center is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization, providing a space for local artists to display and sell their work. The Art Center is operated by volunteers. Proceeds from the Gala will benefit the Jay Benzing Memorial Fund that provides scholarships to schools that participate in the annual Student Art Show and also helps with operating expenses.
