The 2014-15 wrestling season is about to get underway for the high school, middle school, and also the Lynx wrestling club.
Applications for the club were sent out last week at both elementaries and also at the middle school. The club is conducting open mats tomorrow (Friday, September 26th) from 5-6:30 p.m. for anyone that is interested in the sport. This is open for kids k-12.
The Lynx club will also be conducting a mini wrestling camp October 10th-12th at the high school mat room from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, October 10th and Saturday, October 11th. On Sunday, October 12th, the camp will be held from 1-3 p.m.
The camp clinician will be Matt Clark, a two-time NCAA Academic all American, who is the assistant coach at Contenders Wrestling Academy – the 2014 Cliff Keen Bantam National Champions. He has five years of NCAA wrestling experience at the University of Indianapolis.
Also working at the camp will be Sam Johnson a ISWA freestyle champ; a two-time ISWA Greco state champ; and nine-time team Indiana national member.
The fee for this camp Is $10 and is open to the public as well.
