The Historic Hoosier Theater has announced that it has been selected to host the World Premiere of a new play, “Dashing Through the Snow”, a comedy in two acts written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten.
The play will be presented for the very first time on Friday, December 3rd, Saturday, December 4th, and Sunday, December 5th.
The Friday and Saturday performances will be at 7 p.m., with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday.
On Friday night, December 3rd, the playwrights will be present for the opening.
The trio has produced several plays that have been presented at the Hoosier Theater, including: “Dearly Departed”; “Dearly Beloved”; “Southern Hospitality”; “Christmas Belles”; “Dixie Swim Club”; “Hallelujah Girls”; and “Til Beth Do Us Part”.
In honor of the world premiere, the Hoosier Theater has announced that it will have special box office hours to sell tickets for the three performances/
Beginning this Monday, November 15th, the Hoosier Theater box office will be open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. for patrons to purchase tickets. The special hours will continue until all three shows are sold out; or until opening night.
Tickets will also be available at the Switzerland County Visitors Center on Main Street.
There are only 150 tickets available for each show, so everyone is encouraged to take advantage of the special box office hours and purchase their tickets as soon as possible.
