The Switzerland County Commissioners held a special meeting on Monday, October 10th, to approve new work on the Switzerland County Emergency Response Building on East Main Street.
Originally, the commissioners were going to have the building painted, but instead opted to receive quotes on putting new metal siding and a new metal roof on the building.
At Monday’s meeting, the commissioners accepted a bid from Chris Bolton Construction for $18,984. The bid includes metal siding for the building, the roof, and two new overhead doors in the front of the building.
The commissioners also accepted a bid from Gary Nibarger of Affordable Maintenance Solutions to move the furnace in the building from the attic down to the ground floor. That bid was for $2,900.
