Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb will serve as the Grand Marshal of this year’s Swiss Wine Festival parade, and the community is being asked to give him a true Switzerland County welcome.
The Governor will be arriving on Saturday morning, August 26th, prior to the beginning of the parade, and will be coming into Switzerland County via State Road 129. All homeowners and landowners along the highway 129 route from the Switzerland-Ripley county line down to State Road 56; and then on River Road east into Vevay are asked to place a sign on their property welcoming the Governor to the county.
Governor Holcomb will be leaving later on Saturday following the parade; so everyone who can put a welcome sign out for the Governor is urged to do so.
