In a surprise announcement, Switzerland County Elementary School Principal Sally Weales resigned from her principal’s position at Monday night’s meeting of the Switzerland County School Board.
The resignation is effective as of April 16th, 2018.
The resignation was a part of several resignations and retirements at the board meeting, and Weales was not present when the school board accepted the resignation.
Weales became Principal of the high school prior to the start of the 2012-2013 school year, and is completing her sixth year here. She came to Switzerland County as a classroom teacher in August of 2004.
The acceptance of the resignation was unanimous.
