The Switzerland County Lady Pacer varsity volleyball team fell to South Dearborn last Thursday night in three sets by scores of 18-25, 14-25, 18-25.
Ashley Chase connected on 90-percent of her passes and hit at a rate of 83 percent with four kills; and also recorded three aces. Natalie Daugherty had an 88-percent passing percentage, and was 100-percent on her hitting with six kills; and Kayla Konkle had a 91-percent serving rating with two aces, and was a perfect 100-percent on her setting.
“We played well but still need to work on our base defensive coverage,” Coach Michelle Brett said.
In junior varsity action, the Lady Pacers fell to the Lady Knights by scores of 15-25, 16-25.
Coach Lesa McGarvey said that Christina Ahaus was outstanding on her serving, and also had two kills; and Jenna Daugherty had one kill and one ace.
“Overall, I thought my players played better as a team,” Coach McGarvey said.
