Volleyball Sectional continues here

The IHSAA Class 2A volleyball sectional is being played in the Switzerland County gym, and tonight’s (Thursday’s) second session will feature the host Lady Pacers in the second game.

Tonight is a big night in the Pacer gym, as two matches will be played.

The second round of the tourney opens at 6 p.m. with Hauser taking on North Decatur; while tonight’s second game will feature Lawrenceburg against the host Lady Pacers. That match is scheduled to begin around 7:30 p.m. – following the first match.

The Sectional opened on Tuesday night with South Ripley defeating Milan. The Lady Raiders will now advance to play Southwestern in the third session this Saturday morning.

Session three will be held this Saturday morning, when Southwestern will play South Ripley in a match beginning at 11 a.m. That will be followed at approximately 12:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon, when the winner of the Hauser-North Decatur match will play the winner of the Lawrenceburg-Switzerland County match.

The two winners from Saturday’s afternoon matches will then play for the Sectional Championship on Saturday night, and that match will begin at 6 p.m.

Admission for the Sectional will be $5 per session; or fans may purchase a ticket that entitles them to enter all of the sessions for $8.
