The Vevay Town Council is initiating a “Spring Cleanup” for residents of the town.

The purpose of the cleanup is to encourage residents to clean up their property and take pride in their neighborhood; and the town council has announced that it will provide dumpsters free of charge to help residents with the cleanup.

Dumpsters will be open to residents of the town of Vevay only, and will be open during the following dates and times:

– Today (Thursday), from 4-8 p.m.

– Tomorrow (Friday), from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

– Saturday, April 19th from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

– Sunday, April 20th from noon until 6 p.m.

The dumpsters will be located at the east end of town near the old 7-Up building; and will be open only during designated times.

Those wanting to drop off items must bring a Town of Vevay utility bill stub to show proof of residency.

The town council has also announced that on Friday, April 18th, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., curbside pickup will be provided, free of charge, for large items or for residents who need assistance in transporting items to the dumpsters.

Residents are asked to call the Vevay Town Hall at 427-3131 to arrange for the curbside pickup.

Items that will not be accepted during the cleanup include: tires, trash, fuel tanks, paint cans, propane cylinders, barrels, and fencing.

The Vevay Town Council encourages residents to take advantage of the free dumpsters. For more information, contact Vevay Town Hall at 427-3131.
