The Rising Sun Lady Shiners and Switzerland County Lady Pacers are coming together to fight cancer on Friday, November 17th.
The two squads will square off beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Rising Sun High School in a varsity only game.
All proceeds from the game will be donated to the Denny Carrigan Scholarship Fund. Denny Carrigan was a coach and teacher at Rising Sun Ohio County School Corporation for 26 1/2 years. He was diagnosed with Colon-Rectal Cancer in January of 2015 and passed away in May of 2017. Denny impacted the lives of many students and athletes.
T-shirts are available to order online at risingsuncancergame2017.itemorder.com. When ordering you will select your home school and coaches or players will distribute them to you prior to the game.
Both teams will also be selling ‘In Memory’ of or ‘In Celebration’ of cutouts for $1 that will be displayed in the gym. These will be sold at the game. You can also purchase a cutout by contacting a player or coach.
