Trick or Treating and COVID-19
COVID-19 has impacted many traditions around the county and the nation; and as the Halloween holiday moves closer, the pandemic is impacting it, as well.
The Vevay Town Council, in conjunction with the Switzerland County Health Department, has announced that Trick or Treating in Vevay will not be officially sponsored by the town — but individual residents may still hand out treats.
Residents wanting to participate can turn on their house lights and accept Trick or Treaters may do so on Saturday, October 31st, from 6-9 p.m.
Again, the town of Vevay is not sponsoring the trick or treating.
Also: the “Trunk or Treat’ and costume judging event that has been held in the Paul Ogle Riverfront Park will not be held this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The town of Patriot will be having Trick or Treating in keeping with tradition.
The Trick or Treating event will be held around Patriot on Saturday, October 31st, from 6-8 p.m.
Residents wishing to participate should turn on their house light.
