Tourism announces call for marketing proposals


The Ohio County Convention, Tourism, and Visitors Commission (Rising Sun/Ohio County Tourism) has announced 2017 Marketing Grant opportunities for non-profit/501 organizations. Grants are made available to groups that produce tourism-related events/projects in Rising Sun/Ohio County.

The purpose of the Marketing Grant is to defray marketing costs for brochures, posters, advertising, signs, banners, etc., that help organizations generate tourism in Rising Sun/Ohio County. Marketing Grants are available for up to $5000 per event. Grant monies do not have to be paid back to the Commission. Events/projects must be held in Rising Sun/Ohio County in 2017.

Rising Sun/Ohio County Tourism encourages interested organizations to apply for a 2017 Marketing Grant to help promote their event(s) and encourage tourism and overnight stays in the county.

An application with a complete list of guidelines is available at the Rising Sun/Ohio County Tourism Visitors Center, located at 100 S. Walnut Street in Rising Sun, 47040. The deadline to apply is October 31, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. Mailed applications must be received by this date/time. Submissions received after this date will be ineligible for funding in 2017.
