The monthly Switzerland County School Board meeting lasted just 20 minutes but included plenty of personnel decisions.
David Todd was named high school principal. His position of assistant principal/athletic director has been posted.
Todd has been with Switzerland County for 21 including 11 as Assistant Principal/Athletic Director. He and his wife Angela are both employed by the school corporation. They have 3 children, Logan, Brooke and Cooper.
Scott Rosenberger third shift high school custodian.
Summer extracurricular coaches approved included LeeAnna White for summer volleyball and Kris Sandlin for summer cross country.
Summer band camp workers approved include: band assistant- Spencer Cains; flag corp- Alyssa Behrens; dance- Spencer Cains; brass- Alyssa Behrens; woodwind- Madison Herzner; percussion- Jared Zech.
Cheryl Mathews was approved for bus driver of route 33 and Mark Curry was approved for route 22.
Gloria Day was approved as Instructional Assistant at Switzerland County Elementary.
Stacey Street will fill the media specialist position at the high school.
Cory Bougher was approved for the middle school social studies position.
The board approved having one technology integration specialist for both elementary schools and one for the middle school and high school.
The board approved its annual YMCA agreement requesting $32,500 from the school endowment board.
A bus modification for route 25 for an additional two mile son May 22nd was approved amounting to $9.50.
School personnel bonds were approved for Kim Stout, Donita Cole, Sheila Gault, LeeJaye Lohide, Wilma Rosenberger, and Cindy Haskell along with food service director, cafeteria secretaries, athletic director, concession sponsors, business office assistant and guidance secretary.
The Switzerland County Elementary School Parent-Student Handbook was approved.
The board approved the use of the high school cafeteria for the Democrat Birch Bayh Dinner on Saturday, Oct. 8th. Also, the SCES PTA Back to School Fun Fair on Wednesday, Aug. 8.
The board will hold a special meeting on June 27th at 6 p.m. with the regular monthly meeting on Monday, July 16 at 6 p.m.
