Tom and Mary Jane Demaree of Parks Ridge and The Ridge Winery have again entered wines in the Indiana International Wine Competition – and again their wines have earned medals.

The event was held August 3rd-4th at Purdue University, and had more than 2,000 wines from around the world entered into the competition, which celebrated its 25th year.

The Ridge Winery entered two of their popular wines in the competition:

– ‘Black Jack’, a blend of blackberry and apple wines, earned a Silver Medal in the Fruit Blends class.

– Country White, earned a Bronze Medal in the Sauvignon Blanc class.

Throughout their time participating in the event, The Ridge Winery has earned 41 medals.

Along with these two wines, The Ridge Winery also has 15 other wines, which include wines aged in bourbon barrels – which are becoming a popular choice.

Two of the winery’s wines were featured for four days, August 9th-12th, at this year’s Indiana State Fair; and The Ridge Winery will again be a part of this year’s 45th Swiss Wine Festival; and will have two new wines coming out before the festival: Blueberry and Barrel Aged Blackberry.

Tom and Jane are celebrating their 21st year of the winery; and appreciate all the loyal customers and friends they have made over the years, especially the dedication of Greg and Traci Pavy, who operate The Ridge Winery Tasting Room east of Vevay on State Road 56.
