Hello, friends.

We stopped by to wish Ed James and family a Merry Christmas.

We also got a nice phone call from Joan Carrigan. It was nice to talk to her. She was doing okay.

Carol visited Bobby and Fredia Curlin. Their children and grandchildren were coming at different times for Christmas.

Carol and I took Ethan and Jack to the mall before Christmas. It was crazy there but they had a lot of fun. They got to ride the train, merry go round and play in the play area. We had as much fun as they did.

Fredonia Church held a Christmas Eve program and communion. It was well attended. There was a Christmas Eve program and communion. It was well attended. There was a Christmas Eve program put on by the members of the church. Ethan was the little drummer boy. The angels were Nicole Leap, Ashley Peelman, Riley King, Jeana Rayles and Taylor Cox. The shepherds were Robert Peelman and Christopher King. The Three Kings were Rick McClellan, Richard Lock and Sonny Martin’s son. Kim Cox was Mary and Tyler Teel was Joseph. Everyone enjoyed it. Angie and Petey Browning, Ryan and Liz Bovard and sons Dre and Cash and Lily Browning came to see the pageant.

Ed and Mandy and boys entertained Petey and Angie Browning and others for Christmas Eve.

Carol and Rick McClellan and Jack and Jeri McMath went to Belterra after the pageant and had dinner. We had a nice evening with them.

Pat, Rhonda and Carly West enjoyed spending Christmas with Pat’s parents in Charlotte, North Carolina. They spent several days with them.

Christmas Eve morning we dropped by Wayne and Kathy Hunt’s home. They were having their Christmas at that time. We just stopped by to say Merry Christmas. Maralee was doing well and Wayne too. The food smelled great and we were very tempted to stay but we had other stops to make. Tammy Jo and Ashley, her boy friend or fiance, Sara, Ken and Lexi Anderson, Doug and Melinda were all there. Mike was with his family and couldn’t be there.

Donnie, Brenda and Jeana Rayles hosted a Christmas dinner for the Johns family.

Dave Johns had his kids at his home for Christmas, Brandon and sons and Becca and Haley Adams were there. Dave said Ryan Brown stopped by to see him too.

Dick and Carol Schroeder enjoyed spending Christmas with Don and Angie Scherenbeck and children Noah and Brooke at their home.

Mary Jo Meyer enjoyed spending Christmas at her son Danny’s home in Cincinnati. I was sure there was a big crowd, especially the Meyer clan. She said it was a noisy bunch but they had a great time. I am sure it was bittersweet without Jimmie there. RIP, Jim, we miss you too.

Mary Jo also went to Columbus, Ohio, with her daughter Jenny and son. Mary Jo had two grandsons’ basketball games to watch. She said it w as a long day but enjoyed it anyway. Mary Jo’s sister Pat was in to spend New Year’s Eve with her. They went to Belterra for the evening.

Ed and I took in the Indianapolis Pacers basketball game. It was a good game and the Pacers won. Thanks, Ed, for a great evening.

Carol and I got with Dick and Carol Schroeder at Hollywood New Year’s Eve. It w as our Christmas get together. We had a great time. Later on in the evening we met Joan Schaub and Gary Collins in Rising Sun for our New Year’s get together. We had a great evening.

Carol and I had a nice visit with Rachel and Chris Miller New Year’s Eve. They were home from North Carolina during the holidays visiting family and friends.

Congratulations to Betty Peters and Dale Drew. Betty, you know you’re getting old when you can’t stay up to midnight and watch the New Year come in. Maybe one of these days I will catch up with you.

Happy Birthday: Jenny Miller, Mike Stivers, Bethany (Robinson) Oliver, Gina Kelly, Chris Kelly, Chris James, Wendi Black, Terry Hopper, Bill Lock, Brandon Kelly, Garrett Demaree, Nick Knaus. Happy 40th Jean Little and happy 70th Nancy Forest of Cincinnati.

Jack and Jeri McMath had their children and grandchildren and eight dogs at their home after Christmas for several days. That is a house full. Good thing they have a big house.

Betty Peters, Bill and Don Peters and Cheryl enjoyed a family Christmas dinner at The Pines in Madison.

Prayer concerns at Fredonia Church: Gary Darbro, Brenda Godsey, Normalene Adkins, Cameron Knapp, Sara Rodgers, Freda and Bobby Curlin, Keith Headen, Jill Cord, Chester Meisberger and Donna Turner.

Carol’s nephew Michael Rector sent her a Facebook message, letting her know he just received the four boxes our American Legion sent and he was very thankful for all they did.

Get well wishes to Myrtle Pesce. She has been under the weather.

Janet Middleton said she was great-grandmother on Christmas Day. Her daughter Marie’s daughter had her baby for Christmas.

Carolyn Webster is a great-grandmother again. Her great-grandson was born December 27th.

Just want to say Happy New Year to everyone and let you know the coffee pot is still on.

We received a Christmas card from Juanita Radcliff. We are glad to hear from you. Juanita said she had a busy year and needed to slow down and keep in touch. She said that was her plan for the new year. Her family is well and like most people’s, “expanding.” Her great-granddaughter Riley Juanita was a year old December 2nd. Her son Doug Thies visited his oldest son and his sons for Christmas. They live in Shelbyville. Juanita’s family gathered at her home on Christmas Eve.
