Hello, friends.
Time to catch up. Carol and I took our annual fall trip to North Carolina. The mountains were beautiful with their fall colors. We visited our friends, Betty and Thurmond Hester and Dan and Judy Black. It was good to visit with them. We also went to Mt. Airy, a real nice town. We really enjoyed our trip.
Ethan and Jack and Carol went to the SCES Festival and the hayride in East Enterprise. A good evening by all.
Trick or treat was Saturday night. The boys, Ethan, Jack and Cash were all dressed up and ready to go. Mandy and Ed had lots of things for the kids and a lot of good food. Carol and Angie passed out candy to the trick or treaters. Thanks, Ed and Mandy, for a great evening.
We met Chuck and Vickie Mason from Portage, Indiana. They were in Vevay and had a great visit with Rita Sullivan. Chuck said he was going to retire in 90 days after 47 years at the steel company. We hope you enjoy your retirement.
It was great to see Pastor Wayne and Janet back at church Sunday. Pastor Wayne looks great and we know Janet is a great nurse.
We want to wish Pastor Ron Lee a speedy recovery and we hope to see you at home soon.
Don and Donna Miller returned home from an enjoyable trip to Gatlinburg.
Laci Daugherty recently underwent surgery and is doing okay.
We had a nice church service Sunday – so glad to have Pastor Daugherty back, even though he just visited with us.

Roy and Julie Leap enjoyed Saturday in Knightstown, Indiana and watched Nicole play soccer for an All-Star team. Julie said it was so cold but Nicole had a lot of fun. Congratulations, Nicole.
Sunday was Lauren Hill Day at Mt. Saint Jo and Xavier University as she got her wish to play as she said her first college basketball game. What a day, playing before a packed house and receiving her awards in front of family and friends. Number 22 Lauren Hill, we wish you nothing but the best. Special thanks to Hiram College for moving their home game.
So here is what I will leave you with
Life is real so make it your best and
Remember sports are just a game.
