Rising Sun High School graduate Joe Halloran has always had a love for football.
His father ‘Big Joe’ Halloran, of Aberdeen in Ohio County, helped bring Pee Wee football and junior high age football to Ohio County.
While football never made it into Rising Sun schools, the love of the game stayed with the younger ‘Little Joe’ Halloran.
He has coached several years in the Franklin County (Brookville) football program.
Now his family, friends and community are using football as a way to help Halloran in his fight against colon cancer.
