The 13th annual Swiss Wine Festival Cornhole Tournament will be held on Sunday, August 27th.

The double elimination tournament will be played on Sunday beginning at noon in the family area of the Beer Garden.

The entry fee for each team that pre-registers is $25. Teams signing up on the day of the event will be charged $40. Players can be of any age. The first 25 teams to register will receive commemorative tee-shirts.

Teams will be accepted until 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 27th, when the tournament begins.

A total of $500 in prize money will be divided among the top three finishing teams, with $300 awarded for first place; $150 for second place; and $50 for third place. In order to promote the festival and local businesses, winners receive the first $100 in Festival Bucks, which are redeemable at participating vendors within the festival, or at participating local sponsors.

Entry forms and tournament rules can be picked up at the Swiss Wine Festival office on West Pike Street; or at the Sheri’s Accounting Service office on Main Street. Forms are also available online at SwissWineFestival.org.

“The tournament attracts teams from surrounding communities,” organizer Sheri Works said. “The sportsmanship and cooperation of past participants has been spectacular and made the tournament run smoothly. We want to wish everyone the best of luck and hope that you have a great time competing and enjoying the festival.”
