Pacers to soccer win
The Switzerland County Pacer boys varsity soccer team kept its season record unblemished with a big win last Wednesday over rival Rising Sun.
In what head coach David Todd called “A very strong effort” by his defense, the Pacers earned a big 8-0 victory.
The Pacers led 3-0 at the half. They came out in the second half to find the back of the net 5 more times.
The Pacers out shot the Shiners 50-7. Switzerland County also had 28 shots on goal to the Shiners four.
Scoring for the Pacers was:
• Levi Curlin with one goal and two assists.
• Landon Duckworth with two goals and one assist.
• Aiden Griffith with two goals and one assist.
• Carson Griffith with an assist.
• Grant Hall with an assist.
• Ashton Purvis with one goal and one assist.
• Cooper Todd with two goals.
Switzerland County is now 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the ORVC.
Switzerland County now has two straight home games: hosting Milan tonight (Thursday) and then welcoming Rising Sun for a rematch this Saturday.
