The Rising Sun Shiner Pride 19thAnnual Car Show will be held this Sunday, July 12th in downtown Rising Sun and along the riverfront.
The event has an average of 350 entrants with 150 trophies awarded by a percentage per class. Classes for cars, truck and motorcycles.
Registration is from 8 a.m. to noon. Trophies will be award beginning at 4:30 p.m.
The money raised goes directly to the Rising Sun High School Band. It is used for the fall marching program and some is put back each year for the band’s trip to New York City taken every four years.
The band does not receive any money from the school so these fundraisers are vital in allowing the band to continue its outside activities, said band director Ron Eads.
The Car Show is sponsored by the City Of Rising along with the Rising Star.
