The seventh grade volleyball team from Switzerland County Middle School ended its season by winning the tourney held at South Dearborn Middle School on Thursday, October 13th.
The games started out a little rough, according to coach Karoline Green, but the girls hung in there and — in the end — produced a win.
In the first game of the tournament, the Lady Pacers defeated South Dearborn by scores of 25-21, 25-21. Leading servers for the game were Jessie Ray, 3-for-13, and Trisha Smith, 12-for-12. Leading passers were Lindsay Scott, 14-for-17, and Karoline Park, 11-for-18.
The team then had to sit out for an entire game waiting to see who its next opponent would be. The Lady Pacers ended up taking on Greendale in the final game for the win. The Pacers won in three sets by scores of 17-25, 25-21, and 15-9.
Leading servers for the Greendale game were Trisha Smith, 13-for-17, and Emma Johnson 11-for-13. Leading passers were Karoline Park, 17-for-20, and Jessie Ray, 14-for-19.
The girls not only won the tourney but had an exceptional season ending with a record of 6-3.
