The seventh grade boys basketball team from Switzerland County High School opened its season by winning the championship of the Switzerland County Invitational Tournament, which was held on Saturday, November 10th.
In the opening game, Switzerland County defeated Southwestern by a score of 47-26. The Pacers were led by Tyler Queen, who finished with 20 points, including three three-pointers.
Averi Fultz and Celby Kinney each finished with six points in the game; and Trevor Smith added five. Alex Curran and Alex Galbreath each had four points; and Tanner Gray contributed two.
The championship game saw the Pacers defeat South Ripley by a score of 48-35.
Celby Kinney was the leading scorer for Switzerland County in the championship game, finishing with 18 points; and Tyler Queen made it two players in double figures, scoring 14 points.
Trevor Smith finished with nine points in the game; and Alex Curran added six. Alex Galbreath contributed one point to the total.

The seventh grade Pacers played Madison last Thursday, winning by a score of 42-38.
Tyler Queen and Trevor Smith led the Pacers on the night, with each finishing with 16 points. Celby Kinney added six points; and both Alex Curran and Averi Fultz had two points each.
On Monday night the seventh graders continued on the winning path with a 54-35 victory over South Ripley.
The Pacers had balanced offense, with four players hitting double figures. Tyler Queen led the way with 14 points; and the trio of Celby Kinney, Tanner Gray, and Trevor Smith each had 10.
Clint Swanson and Averi Fultz each finished with three points; and Alex Curran and Alex Galbreath added two points each.
