The Edelweiss Prince Scholarship program will also be held this Sunday evening, and this year there are seven candidates for the title.
- DEVON MICHAEL ARMSTRONG: Devon Armstrong is the son of Shane and Carla Armstrong, and is being sponsored by Tom Stow/Final Grade.
He will be a senior this fall at Switzerland County High School, and is a member of the soccer and basketball teams.
He plans on attending college to major in architectural and landscape design.
– JACOB TYLER HASKELL: Jake Haskell is being sponsored by Edelweiss Floral. He will be a senior this fall at Switzerland County High School, and is the son of John and Candis Haskell of Vevay; and Darlene and Ron Morton of Center Square.
He is active in the Switzerland County FFA chapter, serving as chapter advisor and chapter reporter; and is a member of the soccer team.
He plans on attending Indiana University and study to become an operating room nurse.
- LOREN GREGORY LAMSON, JR.: Loren Lamson is the son of Loren and Marla Lamson of Vevay, and is being sponsored by G.G.’s Grill.
He attends Western Kentucky University. He was a 10-year member of the Switzerland County 4-H program; and is a member of Riverview Southern Baptist Church.
His career ambition is to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.
- IAN MICHAEL SISSON: Ian Sisson will be a senior this fall at Switzerland County High School; and is being sponsored by Danner’s Hardware. He is the son of Rick Sisson and Tracy Schulz.
He is a member of the National Junior Honor Society; the student council; and the varsity soccer team.
He plans on attending Indiana University of Purdue University and pursue a degree in nursing.
- JUSTIN MICHAEL WAGNER: Justin Wagner is the son of Cindi and Danny Wagner of Vevay, and is being sponsored by Total Tan. He will be a senior this fall at Switzerland County High School.
He is president of the Business Professionals of America; and is a member of the French Club. He is a first degree black belt in karate.
He plans on attending Northern Kentucky University and pursue a career in business.
- DANIEL SCOTT WELCH: Daniel Welch will be a senior this fall at Switzerland County High School, and is being sponsored by The German Corner. He is the son of Cindy Welch.
He is the president of the FFA chapter; and is vice president of the FCA. He was vice president of the junior class; and is a member of the basketball team and the golf team.
He plans on attending college to pursue a career in either pharmacy or engineering.
- AARRON SPENCER WOESTE: Aarron Woeste is being sponsored by the Schenck Mansion. He is the son of Joe Woeste and Judy Leever; and will be attending Franklin College this fall.
While in high school he earned the art award; and was active in the FFA. He competed as a part of the school’s Envirothon team; and was a member of the Homecoming court.
He plans on practicing corporate law after he finishes his college career.
