Rising Sun improved to 3-0 in Ohio River Valley Conference play and moved into first place after wins against Ripley County foes Milan and South Ripley.
Rising Sun scored a 3-0 win over South Ripley last Wednesday in Versailles.
Leading scorer Bryant Housemyer put RS on the board off an assist from Brent Webb with 24:52 for the lone score of the first half.
Derek Eldridge scored with 23:50 left in the second half before Housemyer scored the final goal with 18:52 remaining. Angelo Gallegos had a pair of assists.
Rising Sun had 24 shots in the contest.
The Shiners defeated Milan the evening before with a 5-0 score at Rising Sun.
Rising Sun scored quickly in the first half as Housemyer put away a pass from Eldridge with 37:47 left on the first half 40 minute clock.
Eldridge scored on a header from Webb at the 25:17 mark.
Tyler Camden’s goal at 8:00 made it 3-0 before Jacob Bovard scored off an assist from Camden with 4:39.
Angelo Gallegos scored the final goal of the game on a penalty kick with 5:50 remaining.
Jason McClellan picked up shutouts in both games.
Rising Sun was to host Trinity Lutheran in a makeup game Wednesday then host conference rival Jac-Cen-Del on Friday. The Shiners visit Oldenburg Academy on Monday and host Shawe Wednesday.
