With Tracy Caddell having officially assumed his duties as the superintendent of the Eastern Howard School Corporation this week; the Switzerland County School Board is beginning the process of finding his successor.
Acting superintendent Darin Gullion said that the school board is utilizing a search group consisting of individuals from Indiana universities to assist in the search.
The service is free of charge to Indiana schools, and gives the local school corporation to opportunity to announce its opening to a larger area.
The official announcement of the vacancy has been placed on the school’s website; and also on pertinent websites across the country.
The deadline for applying for the position is Saturday, March 15th, with interviews of prospective employees beginning soon thereafter.
Dr. Betty Poindexter of Indiana University in Bloomington, who is the chairperson of the University Search Team, is expected to help the school board with potential candidates.
