SC’s Hailey Hines is low medalist in ORVC golf meet


  Lady Pacer Hailey Hines was the Low Medalist as the Switzerland County golf team finished second overall in the ORVC conference meet on Saturday, September 4th.

  In the conference meet, Switzerland County posted a team score of 431; which trailed champion Shawe Memorial, who had a score of 393. Milan finished third with a score of 469; while Jac-Cen-Del and Southwestern had individual participants, but no enough golfers to record a team score.

  Hines shot an 18-hole round of 82 to earn medalist honors, and she was joined by teammates Brooklyn Flanders, who shot a 112; Lily Williams, who shot a 113; and Kenna Perkins, who fired a 124.

We placed 2nd in the Conference Tournament. I will attach the Conference sheet so you can look at the scores of you’d like. Our senior, Hailey Hines, was the low-medalist for the tournament.

At Sunrise

  On Wednesday, September 1st, Switzerland County participated in a four-team event at Sunrise in Madison. The Lady Pacers placed second behind Shawe by eight strokes.

  Shawe finished with a team score of 217; while Switzerland County had 225. Jac-Cen-Del and Southwestern did not record a team score.

  Individually for Switzerland County: Hines led the team with a round of 41; followed by Williams with a 56; Perkins with a 63; and Flanders had a round of 65.

Four-Team Event

  Switzerland County played in a four-way meet on Wednesday night, September 8th, with Southwestern, Shawe, and Oldenburg.

  Coach Natalie Wheeler said that the Lady Pacers were the only school that had enough players to record a team score, so they were the meet winners, firing a team score of 233.

  Hines again led the way with a round of 52. She was followed by Flanders with a score of 57; Williams had a round of 60; and Perkins finished with a round of 64.
