The Switzerland County School Board will meet in regular session this Monday, September 18th, beginning at 6 p.m.
Top on the agenda for Monday’s meeting is a discussion of the fate of the Old Administration Building, which the board voted to have taken down at its July meeting. At that time the board voted to wait until after the Vevay Alumni Meeting in August in the event that past attendees would want to take pictures of the building; and received information on the cost of remodeling and renovation of the building at last month’s meeting.
Also on Monday’s agenda is:
– In personnel matters: the school board will hear employee resignations and employment recommendations for this school year; and also extra curricular position resignations and recommendations for this year.
– There will be time for reports by the student representatives; and by board committees; and there will also be a time for public comments.
– In new business, the school board will hold public hearings on its bus replacement plan; its capital projects plan; and the 2018 school budget.
– There will also be a time for consideration of use of facilities applications; and announcements by Superintendent Mike Jones.
This meeting is open to the public.
