The Switzerland County School Board will hold its regular meeting this Monday, October 21st.
The school board will hold its meeting beginning at 5 p.m. at the Administrative offices on West Main Street.
The main topic of Monday’s meeting will center on a Capital Projects public hearing, during which the school board will consider a recommendation on approval of a capital projects additional appropriation resolution/ordinance; and also the approval of an amendment to the 2013 Capital Projects Fund Plan resolution.
Following those, the board will consider the approval of the 2014 Budget; the Capital Projects Plan, and the Bus Replacement Plan.
In other items on the agenda for Monday’s meeting include:
– In old business, the board will consider policy recommendations on teacher liability and teacher admission to activities; as well as a new website recommendation.
– In new business, the board will host the special recognition of a school employee by Switzerland County EMS; will consider extra curricular fundraisers; and consider requests to the Endowment Corporation.
– In personnel: the board will consider an employee recommendation; an ECA recommendation; and the recommendation of a committee chairperson.
– There will also be a use of facilities requests; as well as a time for public comments, announcements and reports by the superintendent; and reports and comments from the members of the school board.
