Rising Sun Ohio County Community Schools is working to complete the changing of the high school art room to a new Bio Med classroom for the 2017-18 school year.
The cost for the renovation is estimated at $60,846. According to superintendent Branden Roeder, grants are being sought totaling $60,000.
A grant has been received for $35,000 for a HVAC project.
In personnel, Ryan Dunagan was hired as middle school soccer assistant coach. Mark Boetticher (Minh Tran)was approved for assistant high school boys soccer coach. Tim Phelps was approved as summer baseball and softball director.
Chris Jones was named elementary basketball coach and strength coach this summer. Abby Friend will have summer girls basketball with Erin Gregory heading up summer volleyball and Jacob Rowe will have summer band.
