The Switzerland County School Board will hold its regular monthly meeting this Monday, June 19th.
The school board will begin with an executive session at 5 p.m. Per Indiana code, public entities must cite the specific code that allows the closed door meeting. For Monday, the school board is citing Indiana Code 5-14-1.5-6.1(b)(9): “To discuss a job performance evaluation of individual employees. This subdivision does not apply to a discussion of the salary, compensation, or benefits of employees during a budget process.”
The board will then hold a public meeting beginning at 6 p.m.
Items on the agenda include:
– In Reports and Presentations: there will be a time for board committee reports; Superintendent Mike Jones will give a legislative update; and there will be a presentation by the Testing/Grants Coordinator.
– In New Business: the board will discuss the re-configuration of elementary schools to PW-Grade 6; will hear a recommendation for a meal price increase; and consider a new GPS provider agreement.
– In Personnel: there will be employment recommendations; and ECA resignations and recommendations.
– There will be a time for public comments; consideration of Use of School Facilities; announcements by the superintendent; and comments by board members.
