Filing is officially underway for three seats on the Switzerland County School Board of Trustees.
Three of the board’s seven seats will be up for election on November 6th, with the winners beginning four year terms on January 1st, 2019.
The three seats represent Craig Township; Posey Township; and Jefferson Township excluding the town of Vevay. Greg Bosaw currently holds the Craig Township seat; Joe Bennett holds the Posey Township seat; and Jill Cord holds the Jefferson Township seat.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Bennett and Cord had filed for reelection.
Candidates have until noon on Friday, August 24th to file. Paperwork may be picked up in the Switzerland County Clerk’s Office. Candidates who have second thoughts and decide to withdraw from the election may do so up until noon on Monday, August 27th.
