The coordinators of the 2014 Angel Tree program have announced that there is one day left to sign up children for this year’s program.
Parents will be able to sign up their children at three locations.
– Sign ups will be held at the East Enterprise, Patriot, and Vevay firehouses this Saturday, November 9th, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
NOTE: If you are in need of assistance, you must attend this sign up period. Organizers will not take requests by phone.
When coming to register with the Angel Tree program, you must bring: a recent utility bill (proof of residence); the name of your child’s current teacher; and sizes of clothing and shoes for each child being registered.
If you are divorced and both parents are trying to sign up, you will need to bring court paperwork proving primary custody, guardianship, etc. Children may only be signed up by the primary custodian.
If grandparents are wanting to sign up a child, they must provide court documents proving guardianship, custody, etc.
This year’s Angel Tree program will only be providing needs (shirts, coats, pants, shoes) for children. The program will not be buying items such as electronics, video games, iTunes cards, etc.
The mission of the Angel Tree program is to provide Christmas needs for children from Switzerland County. The committee works on a limited budget and relies on donations and help from the community to accomplish this mission.
These new guidelines have been established so that the group can help as many children as possible.
Anyone wanting to make a donation to the program or who has questions, should call (812) 584-2124.
