The Switzerland County High School boys soccer team is battling its way through a strong portion of its schedule, including some exciting matches during the past week.
— On Wednesday, September 5th, the Pacer fell behind Jac-Cen-Del by a three goal margin in the first half, and were never able to battle back, playing a stingy second half defense; but the offense couldn’t score, and the Eagles won by a final score of 4-0.
— On Thursday, September 6th, the Pacers defeated Austin by a score of 4-1.
Senior Sam White scored a Hat Trick (three goals) to help lead the team to victory. Patrick Stow scored the last goal with seconds to spare, with an assist from Michael Stanton.
“The boys continue to strive to reach the goals they are setting, with the hope that they will find their stride by Sectional,” Coach Brian Grigsby said.
— On Monday night, September 10th, the Pacers fell to Milan by a score of 6-1.
“They worked hard but failed to implement their defensive plan,” Coach Grigsby said. “Milan took full advantage of our mistakes.”
