RS athletes among POWs

The Ohio River Valley Conference Top Performers for the first report of 2015-16 included four Rising Sun Athletes.

Top Performers in girls’ soccer included: Chelsea Brown (RS) and Carson Blackwell (RS). Each recorded goals and were named co-Players of the Week.

Rising Sun’s Kasey Baker was the female runner of the week with a time of 23:07. Other top performers were Lucy Carrigan (RS) 24:10 and Jessica Koons (RS) 27:42.

Zach Martini (RS) was named male runner of the week with a time of 16:50. Other top performers were Claudio Gallegos (RS) 18:55 and Matt Martini (RS) 19:37.

Southwestern’s Meagan Walston was Player of the Week in volleyball. Other Top Performers included:

Kelsi Konkle (SC) 12 kills, 90% serve, 6 aces, 10 digs in 2 games.

Kinley Morgan (SC) 13 kills, blk, 65% pass, 5 digs in 2 games.

Brooke Todd (SC) 91% serve, 4 aces, 36 KA’s in 2 games.

Meagan Ralston (SW) 14 kills, 6 blks, 100% serve, 8 aces, 40 KA’s in 2 games.

Madison Coles (SW) 17 kills, 2 blks in 2 games.

Kiley Sparks (SR) 23 kills, 97% serve, 4 aces in 2 games.

Tiffany Vinup (RS) 13 kills, 3 blks, 79% serve, 6 aces in 2 games.

Kelsey Romans (RS) 8 kills, 26 digs, 100% serve, 2 aces, 94% pass in 2 games.

Claire Poling (RS) 9 kills, 100% serve, 21 digs, 88% pass in 2 games.

Tyler Huff scored five goals against Milan and was Player of the Week in boys soccer. Other top players included Devon Wilson (JCD) goal and assist vs. Milan and Bryant Housemyer (RS) 2 goals vs. South Dearborn.
