Rivertown Classic now underway at South Dearborn

The 2012 Rivertown Classic Basketball Tournament is underway at South Dearborn High School to kick off 2012.
The tournament began last night (Wednesday), with the girls teams taking the floor. South Dearborn played Rising Sun in the first game; followed by Switzerland County against Lawrenceburg in the second game.
The Switzerland County Pacer band also played last night.
Tonight (Thursday) night, it’s the boys turn, with the same pairings.
South Dearborn plays Rising Sun in the 6 p.m. game; followed by Switzerland County against Lawrenceburg in the nightcap.
Tomorrow (Friday) night, the consolation games will be played, with the girls consolation game starting at 6 p.m.; followed by the boys game.
Between those two games, the annual cheerleading competition will be held, with all four squads participating. The winning squad will be announced at halftime of the boys game.
Saturday night is Championship Night, with the winners from Wednesday nights games playing for the title at 6 p.m.; followed by the boys championship contest beginning at approximately 7:30 p.m.
The tournament features the teams from the old South Dearborn Sectional from the days of single class basketball.
Both single session and all tournament tickets will be available at the door each night.
